Summary About the position: This position will be assigned to the Polar Bowl bowling center on Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, AK. Regular Full-Time employees have a regular and continuous work schedule of at least 35 hours to a maximum of 40 hours per week. Learn more about this agency Requirements Conditions of Employment The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles. This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results. This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations. Qualifications Who May Apply: Open to everyone. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Must have progressively responsible experience in a military or civilian bowling center. Must have progressively responsible experience in a food and beverage operation. Must have supervision experience which should be at a sufficient level to ensure knowledge of how and why tasks are performed efficiently and effectively. Must have experience which demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Have the ability to deal effectively with individuals or groups to accomplish work or tasks. Must have experience in receipt, disbursement, examination, deposit, or other procession of cash items when this includes direct handling of cash items and use of cash accountability control methods. Must be able to work an uncommon tour of duty to include nights, weekends, and holidays. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution. Additional information Individual must fully meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
