Summary This position is located at US Mint,Office of the Director - Sales and Marketing Directorate. As a ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR FOR SALES AND MARKETING (CHIEF MARKETING AND SALES OFFICER), you will oversee the end-to-end product lifecycle of numismatics (demand, design, schedule, supply, quality, sales, pricing, marketing, and P&L), and develop and oversee Service Level Agreements (SLA) of numismatic manufactured products. The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. As a basic requirement for entry into the SES, you must provide evidence of progressively responsible leadership experience that is indicative of senior executive level management capability; and that is directly related to the skills and abilities outlined under the Executive Core Qualifications (ECQs) and Technical/Professional Qualifications (TPQs) listed below. Typically, experience of this nature will have been gained at or above the GS-15 grade level in the federal service or its equivalent with state or local government, the private sector, or non-governmental organizations. EXECUTIVE CORE QUALIFICATIONS: The five ECQs described below were designed to assess executive-level experiences and potential not technical expertise. They measure whether you have the broad executive skills needed to succeed in a variety of SES positions. ECQ 1 - Leading Change: This core qualification involves the ability to bring about strategic change, both within and outside the organization, to meet organizational goals. Inherent to this ECQ is the ability to establish an organizational vision and to implement it in a continuously changing environment. ECQ 2 - Leading People: This core qualification involves the ability to lead people toward meeting the organization's vision, mission, and goals. Inherent to this ECQ is the ability to provide an inclusive workplace that fosters the development of others, facilitates cooperation and teamwork, and supports constructive resolution of conflicts. ECQ 3 - Results Driven: This core qualification involves the ability to meet organizational goals and customer expectations. Inherent to this ECQ is the ability to make decisions that produce high-quality results by applying technical knowledge, analyzing problems, and calculating risks. ECQ 4 - Business Acumen: This core qualification involves the ability to manage human, financial, and information resources strategically. ECQ 5 - Building Coalitions: This core qualification involves the ability to build coalitions internally and with other Federal agencies, State and local governments, nonprofit and private sector organizations, foreign governments, or international organizations to achieve common goals. Mandatory Technical Qualifications (TQs): All applicants must submit a written narrative response to the following TQs. You are required to respond to all of the technical qualifications. If you fail to do so, you will be rated as ineligible. Please limit your written statement addressing the mandatory technical qualifications to no more than a total of two pages for each. TQ1- Describe in detail your demonstrated executive level experience leading business development, implementing and evaluating sales strategies, marketing plans, and overall sales growth in a billion-dollar organization that's geographically dispersed. TQ2 - Describe in detail your demonstrated executive level knowledge and expertise in the areas of "Sales" and "Marketing" to maximize business growth; analyze data; develop compelling messages through storytelling; and collaborate with different stakeholders to achieve overall organization goals. TQ3 - Describe in detail your demonstrated executive level experience executing creative campaigns, developing new products and initiatives to increase and/or reach expanding and under-reached customers and drive sales and revenue for a large organization. TQ4 - Describe your demonstrated executive level experience leading the development and implementation of innovative and/or emerging technologies in current business practices, market penetration, customer satisfaction, and promotional efforts to drive continuous process improvement of services, products, and business outcomes for all stakeholders.
