1417 Layout Specialist

ALTEN MÉXICO is seeking a talented 1417 Layout Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and optimizing facility layouts to improve operational efficiency and product flow. You will collaborate closely with engineers and manufacturing teams to ensure that layout designs align with production requirements and safety standards.

The Layout Specialist is responsible for developing material display designs for workstation layouts in new model programs and modifications to existing programs (MCA). This role requires a strong understanding of manufacturing principles and the ability to create efficient layouts that optimize workflow.

Key Responsibilities:

• Layout Development: Create and modify workstation and material flow designs for new models and existing programs.
• Space Analysis: Assess available plant space to determine the optimal arrangement of equipment and workstations.
• Interdepartmental Collaboration: Work with engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure designs meet operational and safety requirements.
• Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce waste in the manufacturing process through layout reconfiguration.
• Simulations and Modeling: Use software like AutoCAD to create visual representations of layouts and simulate material flows.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all layouts and changes made, and prepare reports and presentations for management.
• Training: Assist in training staff on the use of new layouts and processes.
• Monitoring and Evaluation: Follow up on the implementation of new layouts and assess their effectiveness in practice.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD
• Knowledge of Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools
• Understanding of manufacturing principles and ergonomics
• Ability to perform workflow analysis
• Knowledge of process optimization techniques
• Ability to interpret blueprints and technical specifications
• Familiarity with process simulation software
• Knowledge of workplace safety standards
• Competence in data collection and analysis
• Skill in preparing technical documentation and reports
• Advanced English
