Summary
This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Business & Technical Management Career Path (AcqDemo only) to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the Position: Serve as an Acquisition Analyst responsible for the analysis, evaluation, and approving of the strategy of award functions involving highly specialized procurements for weapons systems, subsystems, and related mission support equipment programs/projects.

Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
One-year probationary period may be required.
This position requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain or possess a Secret security clearance.
This position requires temporary duty (TDY) travel up to 25% of the time.
Selectees must meet position requirements for certification at Level II (Practitioner) in the Acquisition Career Field (Contracting) within 60 months of entrance on duty.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Planning and establishing the contractual strategy for the overall acquisition program; 2) Advising program officials of the contractual objectives; and 3) Developing and obtaining approval of complete contract requirement packages.
