Supervisory Audiovisual Production Specialist (Senior Producer)

Candidates must meet the Qualification Standards Handbook requirements for NF-1071-13.

GS-13: Candidates must possess at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent in responsibility to the federal or private sector at the GS-12 level, leading an audiovisual production team for a museum or cultural institution.

GS-14: Candidates must possess at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent in responsibility to the federal or private sector at the GS-13 level, leading an audiovisual production team for a museum or cultural institution.

Other Relevant Eligibility Criteria: Requires ability to walk. Requires ability to lift and carry up to 100 lbs with assistance. Must be able to climb a ladder. Must be able to enter and operate a personnel lift. Requires work in confined spaces. Must be able to work indoors and outdoors, in all weather types.

How you will be evaluated: You will be evaluated for this job based on how well you meet the qualifications for this position. This vacancy utilizes a multiple hurdle assessment process to determine the qualifications of applicants. The first hurdle consists of applicants completing an online occupational questionnaire related to the major duties and competencies of the position. The second hurdle consists of you submitting a portfolio that shows samples of your writing, editorial, and overall publishing experience.

• Audiovisual Production – Knowledge of various production methods and techniques in order to create films for a wide range of audiences.
• Supervision – Ability to supervise employees in the workplace, including hiring, managing, disciplining, and developing.
• Program Management – Ability to manage all aspects of a program, including budget, schedules, reports, and workflows.
• Collaboration – Skill in communicating with leadership, stake holders, and subordinates.
