Summary This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA AcqDemo Business and Technical Management Career Path (NH) to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. Business travel required up to 5% of the time. Qualifications Term Appointment NTE - Position will be filled as a Term Appointment NTE 2 years. Term appointments may be extended up to a maximum of six years and may be made permanent without further competition at management's discretion. General Experience: Three years progressively responsible experience, 1 year which includes experience (1) evaluating regulations and procedures to include researching, analyzing, and interpreting and applying rules; (2) obtaining information from an established automated system; (3) utilizing personnel policies to make recommendations. This definition of experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-01 or GS-04). OR Education: Four-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 36. Then divide your total number of completed undergraduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 120. Add the two percentages. Education FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university. Under the Defense Authorization Act, personnel management demonstration programs are operating in numerous Army activities and various other organizations supported by Army civilian personnel centers. Under the streamlined personnel operations for demonstration projects, the familiar 15 General Schedule grade structure is replaced with broad pay bands that typically encompass a range of grades. For example, acquisition jobs in level NH-II of broad banding encompass the traditional GS-05 through GS-11 grades. Other initiatives under the demonstration projects include simplified classification, streamlined hiring process, and expanded developmental opportunities.
