About the Position: The pay band NH-03 includes the General Schedule grade equivalent to GS-12 to 13. Other initiatives under the Acquisition Demonstration Project include simplified classification, streamlined hiring process and expanded developmental opportunities. Learn more about this agency Requirements Conditions of Employment Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. This position requires a Tier 5, Special Sensitive High with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). U.S. Citizenship is required. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. Male applicants born after December 31, 1959 must complete a Pre-Employment Certification for Selective Service Registration One-year trial/probationary period may be required. Temporary duty (TDY) travel up to 25% of the time (sometimes on short notice to worldwide locations, using the fastest mode of transportation available). This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Engineering and Technical Management Foundational certification within 36 months as of entrance on duty. Qualifications This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Business & Technical Maganement Career Path (AcqDemo) Positions to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Experience required: To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience: To qualify, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade/level (NH-02). Specialized experience is defined as: 1) Designing and implementing modifications to existing software programs, 2) Analyzing large scale IT projects for future demand, and 3) Overseeing quality assurance plans and system functions to ensure software suitability. Applicants must meet basic eligibility requirements such as minimum qualifications, and other regulatory requirements within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement. Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you meet the qualifications requirement using experience alone--no substitute of education for experience is permitted. Additional information Direct Deposit of Pay is required.
