DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARY: The Quality Management Coordinator manages clinical improvement
initiatives in collaboration with the Executive Director of Quality and Performance Improvement,
Physician Leaders, Medical Staff Office and members of multidisciplinary teams. Audits clinical
charts, analyses the data and monitors performance measures to identify areas of opportunity,
applying the knowledge of a registered nurse to determine key factors in each case and identify
whether the standards of care are met. Manages the Ongoing Professional Practice Evaluation review
process, working with Physician Leaders to analyze data and determine valuable quality measures.
Maintain databases and spreadsheets to track and trend quality monitoring activities, results and
outcomes. Abstracts data and presents periodic and scheduled reports on clinical care, and quality
improvement data. Supports the development and implementation of the department’s strategic plan.
Assists the Executive Director of Quality and Performance Improvement in coordinating the management
and use of data to include clinical benchmarking and clinical research on outcome measures to
provide benchmarks for initiatives.RequirementsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: Graduate of
approved school of nursing and licensed in New Mexico.  Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or Health
Sciences is required.Â
CERTIFICATION/LICENSES: Current New Mexico Nursing license, BLS issued
through American Heart Association.

EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, of which
a minimum of two years have been spent in an acute care setting; med/surg or critical care
experience preferred. Experience with data collection and analysis preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to move throughout CSV facilities and to all
hospital units/departments. Extensive use of a computer for required applications. Requires close
work, good vision, and dexterity to write as well as type. Requires the ability to speak, listen,
develop, and communicate written materials.
