Summary
Support the Military's Quality of Life programs! The Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) department of Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC) provides fitness, recreation, lodging and food and beverage programs for service members, their families, retired military and civilian employees. This position is assigned to the Non-Appropriated Fund (NAF) Fitness, Sports, and Deployed Support Branch; Fleet Readiness; Commander, Navy Installations command (CNIC); Naval Base Kitsap - Bremerton

- Must meet Federal Employment suitability requirements and successful completion of background investigation
Qualifications
- Must be knowledgeable of emergency water safety procedures
- Performs housekeeping tasks for proper standards of cleanliness, free from hazards, sanitation and appearance of pool and related facilities
- Must pass annual swim test demonstrating ability to perform the work
- Ability to perform the full range of lifeguarding duties
- Knowledge of cash handling procedures
- Must meet Federal Employment suitability requirements and successful completion of background investigation
- Must be at least 16 years old
- Must possess a valid lifeguarding certification from a recognized agency or obtain it within 30 days of hire
- Must be able to pass a 250 yard timed swim test
- Must be able to communicate orally and in writing
Additional information
Salary is dependent on experience and/or education. Some positions have special requirements. Selectee may be required to complete a one (1) year probationary period.
Participation in Direct Deposit/Electronic Fund Transfer within the first 30 days of employment is required. We utilize E-Verify to confirm selectee's eligibility to work in the United States.
This announcement may be used to fill additional vacancies within 60 days of issuance of selection certificate. For positions requiring travel more than twice per year, selectee may be required to obtain and maintain in good standing a Government-issued Travel Card for official government travel purposes.
