Must have current health assessment which documents good mental and physical health, freedom from communicable disease, and immunizations in accordance with current Army and DoD policy including annual influenza vaccinations A one year probationary period may be required (either initially or upon conversion, if applicable). Successful completion of annual training requirements within the prescribed time frame and demonstrated on the job competence is required May be subject to an irregular hours, evening and or weekends Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) Check. Travel to on and off post locations may be required. Schedule may include irregular hours, evenings, and/or weekends. Duties involve working both indoors and outdoors. Must have the physical ability to lift and carry up to 40lbs, walk, bend, stoop, and stand on a routine basis. Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Child Care Tier 1 background investigation. Qualifications Degree or diploma from a professional nursing program approved by the legally designated State accrediting agency at the time the program was completed by the applicant. Must have active, current registration as a professional nurse (RN) in a State, District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States. In addition to the above, applicants must have at least one of the following: 1. One year of specialized experience equivalent in scope and complexity to the next lower grade level 2. Two full years of progressively higher level graduate education or a master's or equivalent degree in the field of nursing. Highly-qualified candidates will have experience in pediatric nursing and/or working with children/youth with special needs. Education Proof of education is required at the time of application.
