Summary
This position is part of the Organization of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. The incumbent will be responsible for directly working with a group of subject matter experts on all issues regarding Joint Staff J35 roles, responsibilities, processes, and tools associated with the sourcing, deployment tracking, employment, redeployment tracking and reconstitution/regenerations of emergent, and rotational forces to meet Combatant Commander's operational requirements.

- Must be available for short notice travel to the Pentagon, if required, to represent GFM/J35 data equities at meetings or briefings.
- Employee may be required to work overtime, weekends, and holidays during peak workload situations or while TDY.
- This is a designed Key position.
Qualifications
A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service:
- Provide oversight, guidance and training concerning availability, readiness, interoperability, operations and deployment policy for issues affecting conventional forces and the Global Force Management (GFM) mission;
- Utilizes the Defense Readiness Reporting Systems, Marine Corps and agency software tools and systems, and network technology to coordinate with joint commands, component commands, action officers and senior leaders;
- Applies knowledge of national security policy, its developmental process, and the interrelationships among the National Security Strategy, National Military Strategy, Department of Defense and Chairman of Joint Chiefs Staff to shape policy guidance use of Global Force Management worldwide.
- Performing a wide range of qualitative/quantitative analytical, evaluative methods, and techniques for the assessment and improvement of GFM program effectiveness, complex management processes, and systems.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
