The Department of Energy's (DOE) Office of Manufacturing and Energy Management Supply Chain is looking for a dynamic, innovative executive to serve as the Deputy Director for Project Management in the Office of Manufacturing and Energy Supply Chains.

PRE-HIRING REQUIREMENTS: This is a permanent position in the SES. Unless you are already a member of the SES with career status or are a graduate of an Office of Personnel Management (OPM) certified SES Candidate Development Program, your executive qualifications must be approved by OPM before you can be hired. If you are selected, you will be required to prepare your executive core qualification (ECQ) narrative for OPM submission.
CITIZENSHIP: You must be a U.S. Citizen or National.
BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION: You must pass a background investigation.
PUBLIC FINANCIAL DISCLOSURE REPORT (OGE 278): If you are selected for this position, you will be required to file this report prior to entry on duty in accordance with the Ethics of Government Act of 1978.
PROBATIONARY PERIOD: You must complete a one-year SES probationary period.

Qualifications
As a basic requirement for entry into the SES, applicants must provide evidence of progressively responsible executive leadership and supervisory experience that is indicative of senior executive level management capability and directly related to the skills and abilities outlined under Executive Core Qualifications and Mandatory Technical Qualifications listed below.

MANDTORY TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS (MTQs):
IN ADDITION TO THE ECQS, YOU WILL BE EVALUATED ON ALL OF THE FOLLOWING MANDATORY TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS (MTQs): Your responses to the MTQs should be embedded/addressed in detail within your resume, not to exceed eight (8) pages.
MTQ#1: Demonstrated capabilities in project management principles, including planning, contracting, and construction management, particularly as applicable to federal financial assistance programs and complex commercial-scale manufacturing or energy-related projects.MTQ#2: Demonstrated experience building, training, and leading a matrixed, diverse team to support deployment of high-profile commercial scale manufacturing projects while working with communities and other stakeholders.
MTQ#3: Demonstrated knowledge and work experience in leading strategy development, process improvement, and operational reporting across a portfolio of large, complex commercial-scale clean energy manufacturing projects.
