Summary This position is located in the Office of Regional Operations. This remote opportunity has an in-region requirement, The selectee must reside in one of the following states supported by the Southeast Region: Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Alabama, Georgia and Florida. Remote employees will receive the locality rate associated with the location of their remote worksite, typically the employee's place of residence. Qualifications AmeriCorps uses an experience-based process to set pay for employees. Experience is evaluated and credited using the employee's résumé. To ensure that all of your prior work experience (e.g., internships, volunteer work, details, part-time, self-employment, secondary jobs, etc.) is considered and accounted for, please ensure that your résumé covers the following: To qualify at the lower range of the NY03/GS-11 level or equivalent, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience at the next to lower pay band/ grade level (NY-02_/GS-09) or equivalent under other pay systems. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements and minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Applicants must have one year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to successfully perform the duties of the position, in either federal or non-federal service performing two (2) out of three (3) of the following duties or work assignments: 1. Providing authoritative information relaying legal and regulatory requirements for programmatic and fiscal management of Federal grants to grantees. 2. Providing technical assistance and program development guidance to current or potential grantees or project sponsors throughout the grant life cycle. 3. Independently overseeing and managing a portfolio of grantees and projects. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps VISTA) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Education This job does not have an education qualification requirement; education may be substituted for Specialized Experience at this grade level. If you are qualifying based on education alone, you must have Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree OR 3 years of progressively higher level education leading to such a degree OR an LL.M., if related to the position. This education demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform the work of this position. A copy of your unofficial transcript must be submitted or you will lose consideration. You must submit evidence that any education completed in a foreign institution is equivalent to U.S. educational standards. You may also qualify based on a combination of education and experience, if applicable. FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university. Additional information Remote Status: This position is eligible for full-time remote work based on the duties of the position. If selected, employees must sign a remote work agreement prior to onboarding that details remote working conditions and expectations for the position.
