At least 1 year of current Pediatric Emergency Medicine work experience is required. Must be able to provide at interview the last 12 months' worth of case logs from a hospital setting. 24-hour dedicated pediatric Emergency Room Level II Trauma Center Specialized neonatal and pediatric transport team to safely transport children to a waiting team of experts. States largest, most comprehensive Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit to treat patients needing a higher level of care. Dedicated pediatric pharmacy with specially trained pediatric pharmacists and technicians. The only hospital in Nevada with the ability to perform pediatric open heart surgery. Labor & Delivery Unit that provides safe, advanced care for the most routine to the most complex deliveries. Volumes approaching 55K Excellent subspecialty coverage including Neurosurgery Responsive and progressive pediatric surgeons Robust PICU, CVICU, NICU, Hospitalist programs Child life and peds social work have a strong ER presence Practitioner staffing is well balanced Full scribe coverage Combination of 9-hour and 10-hour shifts. Full-time position at 1560 hours annually. Coverage hours are fair and can be flexed up and down. The Medical Director works for you and the associate medical director is the schedule master and works magic. We have Peds, EM and FP residents from six programs and are a hosting site for Pediatric ER Fellows. You can teach as much or as little as you want.
