Summary
This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. - Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

- Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
- Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
- This is a bargaining unit position.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. Passport.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
*Experience utilizing electrical concepts, theories, principles and practices and utilizing electrical system test equipment.
*Experience installing electrical systems.
*Experience performing electrical system maintenance.
*Experience troubleshooting electronics systems.
GS-09:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
*Experience utilizing electrical concepts, theories, principles and practices and utilizing electrical system test equipment.
*Experience installing electrical systems.
*Experience performing electrical system maintenance.
*Experience troubleshooting electronics systems.

Education

GS-11: NO SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE
GS-09: SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE: Two full years of graduate education or a master's degree. Education must be directly related to the work of the position.
COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be combined to meet the total qualification requirements.
Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the qualification requirements if the applicant can provide documentation indicating that the foreign education is comparable to that received in an accredited educational institution in the United States. Additional information
Must be willing to travel for up to 2 months per year, for up to 2 weeks at a time.
May travel to locations near the equator or near the arctic.
Must be able to independently lift and carry moderately heavy equipment (up to 100 pounds) over short distances (up to 100 feet) and, as a member of a two-person calibration, transport (including loading and unloading from a variety of vehicles) 150-pound equipment cases to various worldwide locations with minimal outside assistance.
Vacancies filled from this announcement may be filled at any grade level listed.
If selected below the full performance level, you may be noncompetitively promoted to the next higher grade level after meeting all regulatory requirements, and upon the recommendation of management. Promotion is neither implied nor guaranteed.
This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program.
MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.
