Summary THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a HR ASST (MILITARY), Position Description Number T5043000 and is part of the MD 175th ANG, National Guard. Learn more about this agency Requirements Conditions of Employment This is an indefinite position. Indefinite employment does not confer permanent tenure and is covered under tenure group 3. Indefinite technicians serve at the will of the appointing officer and may be separated any time, after a 30 day written memorandum is issued by the HRO. May become permanent without further competition. Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation. May be required to successfully complete a probationary period. Participation in direct deposit is mandatory. 1. The incumbent of this position description must have, at a minimum, a completed National Agency Check (NAC) prior to position assignment. 2. This position is designated as Essential Personnel and may be subject to duty in preparation for, or in response to, a state emergency or disaster declaration. This designation will not exceed 14 calendar days per year unless otherwise approved in advance by the TAG." *** Qualifications SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: At least one year of specialized experience in the Human Resources career field at the GS-05 level (or at a level comparable in difficulty and responsibility to the GS-05 level if Military or outside the Federal service If you are claiming veteran's preference, you MUST submit the appropriate documentation. Failure to do so WILL result in the loss of veteran's preference. - 10-Point Veterans' Preference: You MUST submit a signed SF-15, "Application for 10-Point Veterans' Preference" plus the proof as required by the SF-15. - 5-Point Veterans' Preference: You MUST submit a copy of your DD-214 which includes Character of Service (usually Member-4 copy). If you are currently active duty, you may submit written documentation (certification) from your branch of service certifying that you are expected to be discharged or released from active duty under honorable conditions no later than 120 days after the date the certification is signed.
