Summary
About the position: The primary purpose of thisposition is to assist the Outdoor Recreation Director located in the Outdoor Recreation Center of the 35th Force Support Squadron, Misawa AB.
This is a Regular Full-Time position; guaranteed 35 hours per week but may work up to 40 hours a week depending on the needs of the facility.

This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results.
Must be able to work an uncommon duty schedule to include nights, weekends and some holidays as necessary.
Must possess and maintain a valid regular or official passport.
Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience:
Must have responsible experience which has demonstrated the ability to manage business activities.
May have been gained in an operating, administrative, or managerial position which included responsibility for various phases of operations, such as equipment and supply accountability, financial management, or planning organizational or club activities.
Must have supervisory experience.
Must have experience in a recreation program activity which has involved recreation work in the area of specialty for which considered.
Must possess skill in dealing with customers and public. Must communicate effectively orally and in writing.
Must satisfactorily complete a Tier 1 background check.
Must have a valid driver's license.
Must satisfactorily complete a pre-employment drug test.
A knowledge of local and host nation laws and regulations regarding transportation, wildlife, firearms, boating, recreational permits, and licensing is highly desirable.
Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution in order to qualify.
Additional information
Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
U.S. Citizens and Non-U.S. Nationals must have physically lived in the U.S. or U.S. Territory for a minimum of three (3) years.
All Federal NAF employees are required by PL 104-134 to have salary payments made by electronic funds transfer/direct deposit.
Probationary period may be required.
Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from hiring preferences and priority consideration eligible.
