Family Medicine Physician Job with Carilion Clinic in Lexington, VA

Nestled in the southern Shenandoah Valley, between the Blue Ridge and Allegheny mountain ranges, Carilion Clinic is seeking two physicians for our Lexington and Buena Vista practices.  Enjoy working a Monday thru Friday schedule with a 1/2 day off during the week and no weekends. Practice hours are 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday thru Friday.  Light call coverage from home, shared 1:7 with neighboring practices. Both practices are supported locally by Carilion Rockbridge Community Hospital, an accredited, 25-bed critical access hospital and the primary healthcare provider, serving the communities of Lexington, Buena Vista, and the surrounding Rockbridge County. The recently renovated state-of-the-art medical facility blends modern technology with comfort and cutting edge equipment with small town hospitality. Lexington, Virginia, is located on I-81 in the central part of the Shenandoah Valley of southwest Virginia, 45 minutes north of Roanoke, VA and equal distance to Charlottesville, VA, home of the University of Virginia. Located only 190 miles south of Washington, DC and 140 miles south of Richmond, VA, Lexington is a lovely small college town home to Virginia Military Institute and Washington & Lee University. We also offer an extended care recovery program (Swing Bed) that gives eligible patients an opportunity to grow stronger before going home. On site are 24/7 emergency services, imaging and lab diagnostics, rehabilitation, Fit for Life and other outpatient services.
