Summary THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a TRAINING TECHNICIAN, T5654000 and is part of the Oregon Air National Guard 142d Wing, National Guard. Federal employment suitability required and determined by a background investigation before appointment to position. May be required to successfully complete a probationary period. Must have a valid driver's license. Must be able to obtain/maintain the necessary security clearance for the position. May occasionally be required to work other than normal duty hours; shift work and/or overtime may be required. May be required to work other than normal duty hours; comp-time and/or overtime may be required. Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft. Work may potentially require the employee to be exposed to search and recovery operations in direct response to a military mishap or when providing support to Civil Authorities during an Incident Response as part of domestic operations. This position is designated as Essential Personnel and may be subject to duty in preparation for, or in response to, a state emergency or disaster declaration. This designation will not exceed 14 days per year unless approved by the TAG. Qualifications AREAS OF CONSIDERATION: Area 1: All on board permanent and indefinite T5 federal employees within the Oregon National Guard Area 2: All on board permanent and indefinite T32 federal technicians within the Oregon National Guard Area 3: All current non-permanent technicians/employees (T5 and T32) of the Oregon National Guard Area 4: All current and former members of the Oregon National Guard (former members must provide documentation showing membership in the Oregon National Guard such as an NGB 22 or DD214) GENERAL AND SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Involves nonprofessional work of a technical, specialized, or support nature in the field of education and training when the work requires knowledge of program objectives, policies, procedures, or pertinent regulatory requirements affecting the education or training activity. Work includes education and training tasks for maintenance, operations, and support training; education services; curriculum development; and instructor activities. Work includes developing, delivering, and evaluating education and training programs and classroom activities. Experience in conducting or developing education and training programs. Experience conducting, supervising, or developing education or training programs. An understanding of the Army or Air Force education and training policy requirements. Experiences in working programs to include developmental education, voluntary education, advanced academic education, promotion testing, and libraries. Knowledge of audio-visual presentation, educational tests, and measurements, and instructing techniques. Must have at least 1-year specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade. Knowledge of Army or Air Force education and training programs regarding their principles and procedures. Experience in performing interviews and counseling techniques; training techniques and instruction methods; task analysis procedures, learning processes, curriculum development, training evaluations, and education and training systems and products; effective writing skills; editing practices; instructional media application, training reporting, program and curriculum validation, and implementation procedures. Experience in scheduling training events and facilities; supporting assistance visits and training meetings; or assisting in work center and individual job qualification standard development; education institution registration requirements; and military personnel classification system and policies. Experience in the capabilities of communicative interpersonal skill applications and distance learning concepts. Experience as a participant and presenter during training and military or civilian conference events.
