Summary
About the Position: Carlisle Barracks is at the center of the Army and Department of Defense Senior Leadership educational programs. This post supports missions such as the U.S. Army War College, to include Center for Strategic Leadership, Strategic Studies Institute and USAWC Press, Peacekeeping and Stability Operations Institute, US Army Heritage and Education Center, Dunham US Army Health Clinic and Installation Management Command.
This position is Term, Not-To-Exceed 2 Years and Obligated.

Qualifications
Management may select at any of the grade levels announced. This recruitment provides promotion opportunity to the target grade of the position without further competition when selectee is eligible and recommended by management.
In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience for GS-06: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) ensuring records are complete and accurate; and 2) utilizing automated systems to prepare documents. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the Federal service (GS-05).
Specialized Experience for GS-07: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) processing personnel actions; 2) maintaining personnel records; and 3) utilizing human resources automated systems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the Federal service (GS-06).

- Obligated - This position is obligated. An obligated position is one to which an employee has statutory restoration rights based on active military service, compensable injury or disability when fully recovered, return rights based on having served an overseas tour(s), and may also cover employees who have been on extended leave without pay under certain circumstances. During the obligation period, position may be filled on a temporary or permanent basis. The selected employee is must sign an agreement acknowledging that (s)he is aware of the obligation and accepts the fact that (s)he may be displaced under reduction in force procedures at a later time.
- TERM Appointment: This position is a TERM Not to Exceed Two (2) years position. It is time-limited and may be extended up to a maximum of eight years.
- TERM Appointment with option for conversion (must be established prior to announcement opening): To be eligible for conversion, employee must complete at least 2 years of current continuous service under a term appointment in the competitive service AND employee must have a current performance rating under such term appointment of at least fully successful or equivalent.
