Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
Position requires temporary duty (TDY) business travel occasionally.
Must be able to obtain and maintain appropriate valid state driver's license.
May be required to work various hours to include holidays, weekends, or on-call duty.
Overtime may be required on short notice to include nights, holidays and weekends in support of related mission requirements.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a government vehicle operation certificate, within 30 days of employment.
A qualified typist (at least 40 wpm with 3 or fewer errors) is required.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Utilize transportation regulations to assist in the packing and/or storage of personal property shipments. AND 2) Utilizing an automated transportation systems to access, retrieve, and/or generate various transportation data and reports. AND 3). Identify discrepancies during the shipment process. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
Proficiency Required: This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5-minute sample with three or fewer errors.

Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs is not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government interest.
This position is a TERM Not to Exceed 13 months/years position. It is time limited and may be extended up to a maximum of eight years.
To be eligible for conversion, employee must complete at least 2 years of current continuous service under a term appointment in the competitive service AND employee must have a current performance rating under such term appointment of at least fully successful or equivalent.
This Term position was announced via Delegated Examining, if you are a current Federal employee, you will NOT have placement rights back into your current position.
