You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
This is a Financial Management Level 01 certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26
This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
Incumbent must possess the ability to process Debt management.
Incumbent must possess the ability to process Centrally Billed Accounts (CBA).
Qualifications
SPF: This position requires knowledge of financial and travel systems (such as the Defense Travel System) in order to process all types of travel claims with all levels of difficulty including but not limited to: foreign and domestic, civilian and military, long term training, invitational travel, Sabbatical, intergovernmental personnel act travel, relocation of personnel (e.g., PCS, TCS, and FPD) and constructive costs.
NC-02: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band (NC-01) or grade level (GS-1/4) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing most or all of the following duties: 1) Using financial and travel systems (such as the Defense Travel System, the Integrated Automated Travel System, and the Commercial Reservation System ) to process a variety of travel claims; 2) Performing accounting functions and transactions related to travel and transportation (e.g. reviewing and approving travel vouchers/claims for payment, audit travel vouchers/claims, correcting erroneous travel charges); 3) Interpreting and applying travel regulations (such as the Joint Travel Regulations, Joint Federal Travel Regulations) to ensure compliance; and 4) Researching and recommending solutions to complex travel and transportation problems.
NC-03: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band (NC-02) or grade level (GS-5/7) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing most or all of the following duties: 1) Using financial and travel systems (such as the Defense Travel System) to process a variety of travel claims; 2) Performing accounting functions and transactions related to travel and transportation (e.g. reviewing and approving travel vouchers/claims for payment, correcting erroneous travel charges); 3) Interpreting and applying travel regulations (such as the Joint Travel Regulations, Joint Federal Travel Regulations) to ensure compliance; and 4) Researching and recommending solutions to complex travel and transportation problems.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
Education
In lieu of specialized experience the following may be substituted:
NC-02:
Substitution of Education for Experience: Successfully completed four years of education above high school level; OR, a combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience. The percentage of the required education plus the percentage of the required experience must equal one hundred percent.

The responsibilities of a Passport Agent in office 1-2 days per week (est. 4 hours per day).
