Summary About the position: This position is located at the Bowling Center, Vogelweh, Germany. This position is ineligible for Logistic Support. The purpose of this position is to perform a variety of limited maintenance work within a bowling facility. Heavy physical effort is required in frequent lifting and moving objects weighing over 50 pounds, and in using heavy hand tools and operating equipment. This position requires the incumbent to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical. This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations. Incumbent must be physically in Germany before a firm/final job offer can be received. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Qualifying Experience: Some degree of manual skill and prior work experience is required to work safely with heavy hand tools or to operate, control, and clean heavy power equipment. Continual care and attention must be exercised to prevent accidents because of the nature of the duties and the kind of equipment used. Supervisor provides oral or written work instructions. Independently completes work assignments. Detailed instructions or continual supervision is not provided for most duties, however, supervisor is available for special work assignments. Works indoors in areas that may be dusty, drafty, and noisy. Special care is required to avoid serious injuries. Requires caution in working with moving parts during operation of equipment. Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution in order to qualify. FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
