As Biotech Account Manager Bioproduction, reporting into the Central Biotech District Manager, you will collaborate with a diverse team to deliver innovative solutions to our customers, growing our existing business, and identifying new opportunities. The successful candidate will be encouraged to apply sales, product, and territory knowledge to work independently in most situations.
- Thrive in a hunter-selling environment, proactively seeking new sales opportunities and relationships in the market, particularly within small and mid-size biotech companies.
- Influence the use and evaluation of Gibco cell culture media, single-use technologies, process liquids, pharma analytics, and purification products.
- Handle accounts with key influencers based in the region, some of which may span to other global geographies.
- Develop and implement a territory plan with the technical sales specialists for business development within your account portfolio.
- Use judgement and prioritization to bring in the appropriate resources to drive sales objectives.
- Becomes comfortable with a hunter-selling environment and can work with other teams to ensure they deliver the vital administration to bring new proposals to customers.
- Work closely with the technical and field applications teams to ensure the accurate support allocation to key evaluations and projects in the region.
- Work closely with customer service, project and product management to ensure detailed execution of opportunities and projects.
- Handle sales funnel and ensure accurate administration of sales opportunities in SFDC
What we are looking for
- Academic degree (BSc, MSc) or equivalent experience in Life Sciences
- Knowledge of Bioprocessing is a plus
- Ideally 1- 3 years with relevant experiences in sales and account management
- Strong interpersonal and relationship development skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong trade and presentation skills
- Ability to establish short & long-term business objectives and work independently
- Frequent travel within the region (Switzerland)
- Proficient in English, ideally German and French as well
