THE JOB / Account Manager, Client ServicesÂ
CLIENT SERVICES / Responsible for leading Octagon’s client business and day-to-day management of client programs.
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Account Manager (AM) to work across a variety of sports & entertainment properties. This person will join a dynamic team working with a major travel industry leader at first, then possibly transition to work on other programs and accounts as opportunities arise.Â
This role is ideal for someone that is passionate about sports with a minimum of four (4) years of partnership experience. The AM must have exceptional organizational skills while working flexible hours as partners sit in multiple time zones. Domestic and international travel will be required as necessary to attend partner meetings and events.Â
The team is looking for someone who is a quick learner and can support the day-to-day communications with partners and clients, manage hospitality and ticketing assets, weekly status reports, and other administrative duties as assigned.Â
The Account Manager will be required to work at least 3 days a week from Octagon’s office or at the client’s office in Atlanta, GA. The AM will manage a Senior Account Executive and report into the Group Account Director.
THE WORK YOU’LL DO
- Serve as a reliable agency contact for client sponsorship team and internal cross functional client teamsÂ
- Day-to-day contact of regional based sports properties and talent relationshipsÂ
- Manage and lead weekly status meetings with the support of the Senior Account ExecutiveÂ
- Communicate regularly with various client stakeholders to deliver against the objectives of those stakeholdersÂ
- Maintain and grow key relationships with property partners and vendorsÂ
- Lead asset management (i.e., audit compliance, ticket allocations, and financial tracking)Â
- Support budget tracking and timely reportingÂ
- Support other team and account wide activationsÂ
- Consistently stay up-to-date with the travel industry and the sports worldÂ

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- 4+ years of experience, preferably within either the entertainment, sports sponsorship or event marketing industriesÂ
- Property management experience is a strong plusÂ
- Quick learner with confidence in managing multiple programs at onceÂ
- Prepared to work in a fast-paced team environmentÂ
- Strong understanding of the sports sponsorship spaceÂ
- Capacity to become knowledgeable on our client’s industry, brand, and product offeringÂ
- Experience in creating exceptional integrated marketing programmingÂ
- Extremely diligent; ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously while producing quality work within strict timelinesÂ
- Strong self-starter with excellent team dynamics; exceptional sense to be proactive and jump in wherever neededÂ
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team while also able to solve problems effectively and independentlyÂ
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written)Â
- Exceptional work ethic, strong desire to succeed, and willingness to learn – intellectually curiousÂ
- Extraordinary proficiency with Microsoft Office Software (specifically PowerPoint, Excel, and Word)Â
- Collaborative in nature with a “no job is too small” positive demeanorÂ
- Ability to take direction and run with itÂ
- Flexibility and willingness to travel domestically and internationally and work weekends or holidays as needed. Anticipated travel level: Low (0-15%)Â
The base range for this position is $60,000 – 65,000. Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position; market considerations; budgetary considerations; tenure and standing with the company (applicable to current employees); as well as the employee’s/applicant’s background pertinent experience, and qualifications
