THE OPPORTUNITY:

As an Account Onboarding Associate, you will expertly guide prospective campaign and organization users through the ActBlue account activation process. You will be a member of the Account Operations team, housed in ActBlue’s  Customer Service department. Account Operations works directly with the many campaigns and organizations that fundraise on our platform to ensure that new groups are set up correctly and that our thousands of existing users across the country receive the funds they raise on time.

In this Associate-level role, you will help new ActBlue fundraisers activate their accounts successfully and efficiently so that they can begin fundraising as quickly as possible. Campaign finance requirements and regulations are constantly changing, and the systems the Account Operations team works with are always evolving, so you will need to be adaptable, decisive, and collaborative.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Guide prospective campaign and organization users through the ActBlue fundraising account activation process as quickly as possible, ensuring that all account settings are correct and in full compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements that govern their fundraising.
• Ensure that account setup requests are appropriately screened for alignment with ActBlue’s mission and policies, escalating for further scrutiny when necessary.
• Ensure that all stakeholders are up-to-date on the status of pending account setups.
• Build a working knowledge of Stripe, our payment processor, and create and assist in maintaining the individual Stripe merchant accounts through which thousands of campaigns and organizations fundraise on ActBlue.
• Handle account deactivation and reactivation requests from account administrative users.
• Contribute to shared Account Operations team workflows as volume necessitates.
• Escalate complex judgment calls to appropriate stakeholders within ActBlue as necessary.
• Problem-solve through time-sensitive issues when they arise with internal software and vendors.

WHAT YOU BRING:

• 1+ years of experience working in a direct customer support environment or in account operations.
• Demonstrated ability to work through ambiguity and effectively prioritize multiple competing projects.
• Consistency and reliability in following through on commitments.
• History of taking ownership of your work and engaging in self-reflection when you make mistakes.
• Commitment to ongoing self-reflection and learning regarding your own biases and assumptions.
• Demonstrated ability to build healthy, authentic, and trusting relationships with colleagues.
• Consistent high performance in managing past work.

LOCATION AND COMPENSATION: 

This posting is for a full-time, remote, salaried position. Travel may be required on a limited basis to attend all-staff and departmental retreats (1-2 times per year). Additional travel may be required for select positions. ActBlue is currently authorized to support remote work employees in Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, Washington D.C., Wisconsin and Wyoming. 

Salary Range Details:

Salary Range: $65,000 - $76,500 

ActBlue is committed to consistent compensation practices across our organization.  Final salary offers will take into account factors such as candidate experience, interview performance and current team salary parity.

Bargaining Unit position: The terms and conditions of this position are subject to a collective bargaining agreement with the Campaign Workers Guild, the exclusive bargaining agent of covered ActBlue employees.
