Accounting Manager

Fluidra is seeking an Accounting Manager to join the team at our Specialty Products office in West Valley City, UT.

WHAT YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE 

Manage the three-day monthly closing process and reporting that information within Microsoft Dynamics Navision, Oracle, and Hyperion Financial Management (HFM). Manage employees in the Accounts Payable department and its function. Respond to and manage external and internal audit requests and other regulatory agencies. Bring any operational issues or key variances to the attention of management. Present improvement opportunities to management and participate in implementation when approved. Additionally, you will: 

Manage critical functions in the finance department at Cover-Pools Inc including:

• Manage the A/P department and its employees for purchase invoices and disbursements processes. Sets up new vendors as needed.
• Manage the GL, cost accounting and inventory accounting including monitor of the day-to-day financial operations within the company.
• Treasury management including but not limited to cash flow forecasts, payroll transfers and other wires.
• Manage the month end close and prepare journal entries with supporting worksheets per the close schedule.
• Chart of accounts and general ledger management.
• Close the books in Navision, Oracle, and HFM within the deadlines set by Corporate.
• Participate in the process of responding to external and internal auditors and other regulatory and tax agencies.
• Participate in the bi-annual physical Inventory and prepare schedules and variance analysis.
• Assist with the annual budget and monthly forecast preparation while also reviewing monthly variances.
• Development and maintain internal control policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements including our Global Accounting Manual (GAM).
• Prepare multiple state sales reports for sales & use tax returns purposes.
• Work on special projects as needed.

WHAT WE SEEK

• Certified public accountant accreditation preferred.
• 5+ years of accounting experience with a medium to large sized organization
• Strong technical accounting and writing skills, capable of delivering in time sensitive and detail-oriented environment
• Ability to manage team members
• Advanced core accounting competence (US GAAP, IFRS)
• Critical decision-making capabilities, with a pro-active mentality  
• Ability to communicate effectively, interacting with all organization levels
• Strong knowledge using Excel (especially advanced level pivot tables)
• Strong IT acumen experience with Oracle and MS Dynamics Navision a plus
• Manufacturing industry experience a plus

• CPA required or in the middle of taking the CPA exams
• SOX compliance experience preferred

EDUCATION

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or another related field
