Accounting Manager

What You Will Do:

• Ensure compliance with recently adopted accounting standard ASC 606 Revenue Recognition, provide scoping of revenue streams and analyze impacts of constraining estimates of variable consideration on sales-based or usage-based royalty exceptions.
• Evaluate accounting treatments for Gift Certificates, Account Credits and Account Vouchers.
• Assess and record GC breakage revenue using analytical approach and apply escheatment laws of different jurisdiction.
• Lead adoption of leasing accounting standard ASC 842 through revaluating contracts to identify and record right-of-use lease assets and liabilities.
• Responsible for COGS standards implementation and automation.
• Hold monthly meetings with Operation team for new products analysis and review on existing products.
• Provide guidelines to engineering team on synchronizing costs in database.
• Conduct quarterly physical inventory count and reconcile with accounting records.
• Complete implementation of self-serve business model with the development of new cross functional visualization, operational and payment facilitations.
• Review quarterly Financial Statements flux analysis and deep dive on variances.
• Provide key business insights such as determining operating segments based on ASC 280, preparing geographic revenue mapping, examining accounting compliance on mergers acquisitions or disposal of business units as needed.
• Manage and mentor staff and ensure their timely completion of duties as well as continue their professional career development via various technical and soft skills trainings.
