Job Description

Sinclair Sports Group is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented individual for a rotational Internship in Ad Operations, Sales and Research. With a strong passion for sports, the ideal candidate will learn Ad revenue operations and media across all Sinclair Sports platforms, including Tennis Channel and T2, as well as our emerging sports podcast division.

Job Description:

The rotational Intern will learn how to create, analyze, and communicate sales revenue for the finance team. They will learn media math and how traffic operations work. They will understand the overarching media landscape between advertising agencies and clients. This role requires collaboration across various departments to ensure a well-rounded understanding of the business, foster effective communication, and integrating financial data with operational processes.

Responsibilities:
  • Engage with team members to gain comprehensive insights and knowledge, actively learning and participating in sales, operations and finance.
  • Train on Media linear and digital media traffic operations
  • Learn industry trends and media math
  • Work closely with the finance and ad sales planning teams to understand and align sales pipelines with financial revenue reporting.
  • Support ad hoc pipeline insights and highlighting KPI trends and revenue to leadership
  • Assist in conducting research and preparing findings to share with the team, ensuring clear and effective communication of recommendations and insights.
Qualifications:
  • Intern candidates must be at least 18 years of age
  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program
  • At least in their sophomore year of an accredited college/university
  • A U.S. citizen or eligible to work in the U.S.
  • Available and eligible to work from one of our select locations across the United States.
  • The intern should be available to work onsite approximately 15 hours each week for 10 weeks, beginning in January 2025.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt in a dynamic sales environment.
  • A strong desire to learn and grow within the organization.
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
