Job Description:
The Advisor, Email Protection Analysis candidate will perform daily tasks relating to email protection.

This role requires a working knowledge of current and emerging security threats, email protection, industry trends, counter measures, and best practices, as well as the ability to effectively communicate this knowledge to a non-technical audience as part of the Email Protection Analysis program of TransUnion. This role is also responsible for assisting with implementing email protection strategies for the organization as a whole in accordance with defined strategies and objectives.

Core Duties / Responsibilities:
&bull Provide support for the established goals of the Email Protection Analysis program
&bull Conduct assessments and investigations to identify and evaluate email threats
&bull Develop and distribute remediation techniques and guidance for email threats
&bull Aid in implementing innovative solutions, modifications, and enhancements to the Email Protection Analysis program based upon current cybersecurity threats and trends
&bull Analyze email threats to TransUnion and advise on protection strategies
&bull Conduct hunts for undetected malicious email activity within the environment
&bull Utilize email honeypots
&bull Develop and implement custom email protections as necessary
&bull Produce regular reporting on observed email trends and correlating defensive measures
&bull Consult and partner with corporate communications, technical, business, and security teams as applicable
&bull Coordinate or perform administrative functions as necessary to perform email protection tasks

What You'll Bring:
Requirements/Skills/Qualifications: &bull Advanced email analysis experience including phishing, malware, business email compromise, and impersonation &bull Three or more years of work experience in a related field such as cybersecurity, information security, computer science, or email administration &bull Advanced knowledge of email protection and authentication protocols and mechanisms &bull Experience monitoring the cyber security threat landscape &bull Ability to navigate diverse perspectives and promote an inclusive and collaborative environment &bull Ability to work with technical subject matter experts and apply protective measures in a corporate environment &bull Desire to learn and grow email security knowledge and skills &bull Core technologies required o Strong understanding of the threat landscape o Strong understanding of email protection techniques and implementation &bull Core soft skills required o Outstanding interpersonal skills o Excellent oral and written communication skills o Ability to self-direct and manage work queue &bull Previous experience o Email protection development and implementation o Threat Intelligence analysis, production, and dissemination o Email analysis in a cybersecurity role &bull Education o Cybersecurity, information technology or similar degree or certification(s) preferred We'd Love to See: &bull Preferred technologies o Domain monitoring/brand protection experience o Email administration experience &bull Preferred soft skills o Outstanding communication skills &bull Preferred years of or previous experience o Minimum of 5 years serving in a technical cybersecurity or email administration role o Prior experience in an email focused cybersecurity role within Financial Services &bull Preferred education (if applicable) o Security+ o Network+
