Job Description

Responsible for serving as a strategic internal consultant to business leaders and Human Resources Business Partners (HRBP’s) in all areas of talent management (TM), but particularly in Leadership Development. Collaborates with HR colleagues to conduct need assessments and identify participants for our Leadership Programs to ensure a robust leadership pipeline ready to provide business continuity and achieve our strategic goals. This position will be working hybrid and is based in Oriental Center building, San Juan, PR.

  • Responsible for growing critical learning practice areas, including the design and delivery of programs that promote leadership excellence and best practices.
  • Working in collaboration with senior leadership to identify key needs of leaders at Oriental and execute development experiences with a focus on program impact. Implement learning experience design principles and techniques.
  • Lead the continued rollout of our leadership programs including program design with key partners, oversee program logistics, facilitate sessions, manage vendors, program documentation for learning history and deliver an exceptional learner experience. Continuously reviews programs to ensure they evolve according to organizational, or participants’ needs.
  • Own the delivery of learning experiences and continue the building of new learning experiences to develop leaders at scale.
  • Strategize the utilization of our leadership development platforms, increasing our ability to provide blended learning experiences that drive high performance and help leaders grow in their capacity to lead high performing teams and achieve business results.
  • Create, establish, and monitor KPI frameworks related to performance, productivity, engagement, and development to provide regular updates to senior management and other key stakeholders.
  • Gather data and analyze different leadership related variables to assess effectiveness of leadership development programs, which may include assessing learning comprehension, gathering feedback on learning application, and correlating data to business outcomes.
  • Design and deliver programs that focus on implementing skills most needed to achieve our leadership responsibilities to enable our vision and model our ways of working.
  • Serves as coach for employees and leadership assessments used for development purposes, moreover serves as consultant to others to ensure appropriate understanding of assessments results.
  • Support other Talent, Organizational Development or Human Resources projects as needed. 
  • Other duties may be assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources and/or Industrial Organizational Psychology required. Master’s degree preferred.

  • Three (3) years in leadership development, learning, talent management or similar position required. 

  • The minimum education and experience required can be substituted with the equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. 

  • Experience in the Banking Industry or HR consulting services preferred. 

  • Fully Bilingual in English and Spanish with strong communication skills orally and written required.  

  • Experience in partnering with HR Business Partners and business leaders to develop business and talent strategies, methodologies, programs, tools, and metrics that built both people and organizational capabilities. 

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), reporting systems and other business applications required.

  • Proven consultative approach, a track record of building and implementing leadership development programs, and a demonstrated ability to conceptualize and execute complex projects to completion.

  • Certified professional from SHRM, HRCI, ATD or any other related professional association, and coaching certification or experience preferred.
