Job Description

Tecovas is the first direct-to-consumer western brand, founded with the simple goal of making the world’s best western boots, apparel and leather goods - and selling them at a fair price. We are a brand revolutionizing a category and welcoming first-time boot buyers and western enthusiasts alike.

Tecovas is looking for an Allocation Manager to develop, execute, and evaluate the desired inventory levels needed to support our rapidly growing store count. Reporting directly to the Director of Planning, Allocation, and Channel Merchandising, you will be a key leader managing the growing replenishment team and balancing inventory by department and store while evolving the replenishment process.

As the Allocation Manager, you will work closely with the Planning, Retail Operations, Central Inventory Management, and Channel Merchandising teams to deliver the right product, in the right quantities at the right time in stores. In addition to managing the weekly replenishment process end to end, you will oversee all inventory movement between stores and the distribution center as well as other retail inventory related scaling projects.

This position is based out of Austin, TX but will have the ability to work from in-home and in-office.

What you’ll do:

  • Inventory Management:
    • Own weekly store inventory replenishments to support sales demand, manage healthy stock to sales ratios, and support Tecovas merchandising goals.
    • Identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory and propose actions to clear or reposition such stock.
    • Ensure successful store openings by building new store orders in partnership with visual merchandising
  • Allocation Strategy:
    • Develop and execute allocation flow forecasts for products, considering sales performance, inventory levels, and customer demand.
    • Work closely with the planning and merchandising team to allocate products to key customers and ensure fair distribution among different sales channels.
    • Conduct regular meetings with Merchandising and Planning to discuss allocation strategies to support sales, marketing and floor sets.
  • Supply Chain Coordination:
    • Collaborate with sourcing and planning teams to ensure the timely availability of core and new products by replenishment deadlines.
    • Coordinate with logistics teams to optimize shipping and transportation processes, reducing lead times and costs.
    • Maintain effective communication with all stakeholders to address potential bottlenecks and streamline operations.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting:
    • Utilize data analytics tools and software to generate reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to inventory and allocation.
    • Present data-driven insights to senior management, providing recommendations for process improvements and resource optimization.
  • Continuous Process Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities to enhance allocation processes, inventory management, and overall supply chain efficiency.
    • Implement best practices and standard operating procedures to drive continuous improvement.
    • Identify opportunities for systems enhancements and participate in design and testing for system changes
  • Team Management:
    • Lead, motivate, train, and develop a team of Allocations Analysts to assure adherence to goals for turn and in-stock levels
    • Support goals and needs of direct reports with clear and consistent communication and guidance
    • Process engineering to enhance productivity of the allocations team and the inventory they manage

Experience we’re looking for:

  • 5+ years of corporate retail replenishment/allocation experience, a background with sized merchandise, and experience supporting a high growth business
  • Previous experience as an Allocation Manager, Inventory Manager, or similar role in a vertically integrated company
  • Strong technical aptitude, including advanced competency in Microsoft Excel and ability to quickly master new applications and systems
  • Demonstrated creative thinking and quantitative approach to problem solving abilities
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools and software.
  • In-depth knowledge of supply chain processes, demand forecasting, and inventory management techniques.
  • Familiarity with ERP and inventory management systems is an advantage.

What you bring to the table:

  • You are highly organized with strong interpersonal skills, self-motivated, and a keen eye for detail.
  • You have a strong work ethic with a high degree of flexibility to work in an ever-changing and fast-paced environment.
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills and thrive in a highly cross functional organization.
  • You possess the ability to identify future team and organization needs and act quickly.

Full Time Benefits & Perks:

  • We offer insurance plans that pay 99% of your health premium coverage and 100% of your dental & vision insurance coverage for your family/dependents
  • Paid Parental Leave
  • Flexible PTO policy
  • Corporate wellness program
  • Competitive salary
  • Eligibility to participate in Corporate Bonus Program
  • Generous employee discounts!
