Analyst, SAP - Finance & Accounting

Job Summary

We are looking for a Finance IS business partner with not only deep SAP FI/GL/CO/PA technical knowledge but also a comprehensive understanding of the business drivers, processes, and context foundational to Finance and Accounting in the Pharmaceutical Industry. The right person for this opportunity is just as comfortable working in the Finance and Accounting space as they are in Information Services. You will work alongside Exela's Finance leadership team to identify, implement, and drive excellent execution of key strategic programs and support services. Leveraging our managed services providers, you will lead implementation and support teams to deliver outstanding Exela Finance business processes complimented by excellence in SAP's S/4 HANA enterprise application.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The incumbent may be asked to perform other function-related activities in addition to the below mentioned responsibilities as reasonably required by business needs.

• The ideal candidate has spent at least the last 4+ years configuring/managing the SAP S/4 HANA Finance and Accounting Modules with a focus in General Ledger, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable - preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
• The Finance IS Business Partner must have a solid understanding of the existing business processes, the key drivers, and measures of success associated with a world-class Finance and Accounting organization.
• Work with Accounting and Finance to streamline business processes like days outstanding, month end closings and financial reporting to improve cash flow, simplify processes and drive excellence.
• Build partnerships with the business, providers, and other organizations to create innovative solutions, align business priorities to the broad business goals, and create accountability for the results.
• Work with a managed services team to support the design and development of Finance solutions optimized to drive excellence in Cynosure's Financial operations.
• You will be expected to use and recommend best practices while delivering scalable high-quality solutions.
• Work with the analytics team to identify, develop and implement data rich dashboards and KPI's designed to optimally run and drive the Financial/Accounting teams.
• Be on top of what is possible by staying current in Financial and Accounting trends, along with related technologies.
• Own and manage KPI's alongside the business to reflect optimal business processes.
• Work with and manage outside service partners to ensure the effective delivery of operational IS services.
• Assist Exela Information Systems Leadership with the development of the IS Services Delivery strategy.
• Ensure the IS portfolio adds value and results in continuous improvement and sustainable IS environment.
• Ensure the highest quality solutions by leveraging and following a comprehensive change control process.
• Identify and implement opportunities for training our Finance and Accounting constituents in industry best practices.
• Other opportunities to grow the possibility of this role to liaise with the HR department as an IS advocate supporting Exela's HRIS system.

Education

• Bachelor's degree is a must - preferably in Business, IT or Computer Science (or equivalent)
• Master's degree is preferred.
• SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4 HANA certification (in the FI/CO/PA modules).
• Training/Certifications in SAP Analytics Cloud, PowerBI, QLIK or equivalent Analytics tool is a plus.

Experience

• 3 - 5 years of proven experience as a business systems analyst/partner.
• 2-4 years of SAP ECC or SAP S/4 HANA experience.
• 1 - 2 years of SAP's Credit and Dispute Management and/or Revenue Accounting and Reporting (RAR) experience is a plus.
• Minimum 3+ years configuring SAP Finance/Accounting Modules.

• Architect experience on implementation projects.
• Experience working with SAP developers.

• Clear understanding of SAP's technical capabilities and limitations.

• Well versed in SAP administration and comfortable giving direction to a managed services provider for building and administrating a worldwide integrated Salesforce platform.
• Proven track record of building and maintaining successful relationships across complex functions, IT Partners and the wider IS community.
