Job Description

Job Overview:
We are looking for an experienced API Developer with a strong background in designing, developing, and integrating APIs, specifically with Google Meet API. The ideal candidate will work closely with our development and product teams to enhance and implement communication solutions using Google Meet. You will play a key role in building scalable, reliable APIs that seamlessly integrate our systems with Google Meet and other communication platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain APIs with a focus on Google Meet integration.
  • Develop and manage RESTful APIs, ensuring performance, security, and scalability.
  • Integrate Google Meet API with in-house and third-party systems for scheduling, event creation, and real-time communication.
  • Proficient in writing stored procedures on SQL Server
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to gather requirements and implement API solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve API-related issues, including debugging, testing, and deploying solutions.
  • Ensure the proper authentication and authorization mechanisms are in place (OAuth 2.0, Google Identity).
  • Optimize API performance and ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
  • Document API endpoints, architecture, and integration workflows clearly for internal teams and third-party developers.
  • Implement unit and integration tests to ensure API reliability and security.
  • Stay updated with the latest API developments, especially related to Google Workspace and Google Meet APIs.

Required Skills:

  • 4-6 years strong experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs using technologies like Node.js, Python, .NET, or Java.
  • Proven experience with Google Meet API and Google Workspace (formerly G Suite) APIs.
  • Strong understanding of OAuth 2.0 and Google Identity for secure API interactions.
  • Experience with JSON, XML, and data interchange formats.
  • Proficiency in working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and using Google APIs Explorer for testing and development.
  • Familiarity with webhooks and real-time communication integration.
  • Experience with version control systems like Git.
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of API testing frameworks (Postman, Swagger) and tools for automated testing.
  • Solid understanding of database technologies (SQL, NoSQL) for handling API data storage.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with other communication APIs (Zoom API, Webex API, Microsoft Teams API).
  • Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
  • Understanding of microservices architecture and how APIs function within such ecosystems.
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem-solving mindset with a focus on delivering efficient and scalable solutions.
