Application Engineer Connection Systems (f/m/d)

This exciting role is embedded in the dynamic sales organization of the Connection Systems (CS) business, a global leader generating $3 billion in revenue with over 20,000 employees across 5 continents. As part of this team, you will have the unique opportunity to work with leading distributors, directly contributing to the growth and expansion of our innovative product portfolio.

Your role:

• Coordination of new product developments together with Product Line Management and Product Engineering, development of solution proposals taking into account the respective customer requirements
• Close collaboration with the device sales team
• Presentation of Aptiv Connection Systems' technical solutions and product portfolio to customers
• Identification and promotion of "full interconnect solutions"
• Close and global collaboration with the respective specialist departments of Aptiv Connection Systems as well as with the group-wide divisions
• Building a close relationship with the customer's technical departments and associated decision makers, to ensure a high level of customer proximity
• Know customer requirements and wishes and communicate these to your own organization and specialist departments, e.g. technologies that customers want or are considering
• Processing and coordinating technical customer inquiries
• Support and coordination of technical customer inquiries
• Competitor analysis, benchmark and market observation
• German driving license B2 required

Your background:

• A degree in engineering (mechanical or electrical engineering).
• At least 5 years of experience in the automotive industry, preferably in the connector business.
• Excellent communication skills in English and German
• A self-driven, motivated individual with a passion for learning and collaborating across multiple functions and locations.
• German driving license B2 required
