Job Description
We are seeking a versatile Applications Engineer within our Field Applications team implementing our next generation Wireless Charging products to power the global deployment of Electric Vehicles. We are seeking experienced, innovative, proactive candidates with a combination of technical and customer-facing experience to drive successful implementations and customer deployments. You will collaborate across various functions including Product Development, Sales, Business Development, and Product Management.
Candidates must be willing to travel frequently to customers across the US. Anticipated travel is 50%. This position will be based out of our Watertown, MA headquarters.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support on WiTricity’s Halo EV Wireless Charging Products to Fleet Customers, OEMs, and vehicle upfitters.
- Hardware and software support to vehicle upfitters that are installing WiTricity wireless charging products into vehicles.
- Support installation of WiTricity’s chargers in homes, commercial locations, etc. for both permanent and demonstration usage.
- Support includes mechanical, electrical, and software components of the system.
- Includes pre-sales and post-sales support; installation & troubleshooting.
- Contribute to product documentation and training materials.
- Provide on-site support for on-boarding, field trials, and troubleshooting.
- Work closely with WiTricity’s Operation’s team handling logistics and reverse logistics (RMA).
- Work closely with WiTricity Sales team to cultivate new business, support existing customers, and ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction.
- Work closely with WiTricity’s Product Development to ensure timely resolution of integration and field problems. Work closely with Product Management on product enhancements and customer feedback.
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- AS or BS in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field desired.
- 2+ years experience working with customers in a technical environment
- Excellent computer and software skills; knowledge of embedded systems is required
- Experience working in an EE lab including experience with Oscilloscopes, Soldering, and other test equipment.
- Must have good mechanical skills and working knowledge of mechanical engineering.
- Ability to work independently, in a fast-paced, dynamic, highly technical environment and work on multiple concurrent activities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English)
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment and electrical safety standards is a plus.
- Experience working alongside Business Development and Sales is a plus.
- 50% travel (domestic)
