Job Description
Primary Function of Position:Ā
A da VinciĀ® Area Sales Manager is responsible for selling the da VinciĀ® Surgical System to greenfield and existing hospitals within the da VinciĀ® Area Sales Managerās assigned territory. This requires a number of capabilities including knowledge in the use of robotics, the ability to build a team of advocates within each hospital, proven solution selling skills, and enough tenacity to ensure sales goals are met on a consistent basis. da VinciĀ® Area Sales Managers are expected to provide an extraordinary degree of information gathering and presenting to buying teams throughout the capital equipment purchasing process.Ā
Roles & Responsibilities:Ā
Manage the complex sales process of da VinciĀ® Surgical Systems into new hospitals and upgrades into existing hospitalsĀ
Build support from surgeons and administration for da VinciĀ® Surgery. Identify key institutions, generate market awareness, and drive sales of the da VinciĀ® Surgical System within an assigned sales territoryĀ
Effectively manage transition of initial sale and installation to the sales team to drive procedural volume and growthĀ
Achieve quarterly sales targetsĀ
Partner with the da VinciĀ® Area Sales Director to develop a sales plan for their local territoryĀ
Build surgical advocacy teams at each hospitalĀ
Develop initial contact and relationship with CEO and senior hospital administratorsĀ
Organize and manage the sales processĀ
Develop knowledge of primary OR proceduresĀ
Make business case for system purchaseĀ
Resolve contractual issues and coordinate system installation upon purchase approvalĀ
Handle all communications and administrative follow-upĀ
Qualifications
Skills, Experience, Education, & Training:Ā Ā
Qualifications Required:Ā
Bachelorās degree or equivalent experience requiredĀ
Minimum of 5 years sales experience preference for experience in healthcare or capital salesĀ Ā
Knowledge of the operating room environmentĀ
Proven successful track record in capital medical equipment salesĀ
Sales management experience a plusĀ
Excellent interpersonal and communication skillsĀ
Ability to travel up to 50%, dependent upon account distributionĀ
Success in introducing new technologies to the market is a plusĀ Ā
