Primary function of Role

• Supervise testing and performance of Quality Control employees at NKC, providing training and mentorship to Quality lab personnel. Provide support as needed to other departments.

Principal Responsibilities

And Activities

• Provide onboarding training and competency for Associate QC Analyst positions. 
• Maintain accurate and legible test records, in accordance with Company policy and record keeping procedures.
• Assist with minor laboratory equipment troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Perform testing and conduct analysis for special projects and nonconforming product investigations.
• Supervise laboratory personnel, provide feedback and evaluation to employees as necessary, documenting all disciplinary, attendance, and performance related issues. 
• Assist with scheduling on shift, identify coverage and fill laboratory shift vacancies, as needed.
• On-call support of laboratory and operations staff outside of standard working hours, as scheduled.
• Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• Bachelor of Science in Chemistry or related field (minimum 5 years’ experience working in a laboratory environment).

• Minimum of 1-year Supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong computer skills with word, database, and spreadsheet experience.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills, statistical analysis.
• Strong knowledge and compliance with GLP/GMP, documentation, laboratory bench practices and equipment management.
