Backend Developer

Your Role and Responsibilities

• Development of Eclipse platform components using sound engineering principles and adhering to open source development standards practices processes.
• Resolve technical issues reported internally (through IBM consumer’s channels) and externally (through community channels) through isolating recreating and debugging.
• Back-port upstream code to relevant branches that are maintained internally or externally – to different platforms Java versions of eclipse versions.
• Present latest eclipse platform features and their use cases to relevant internal and external forums. collect feedback and apply those in the subsequent development cycles.
• Maintain migration best practices document from the knowledge built incrementally through eclipse versions.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Experience: 2+ Years
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science with 2+ years of experience in Java and Eclipse.
• Experience in object oriented architecture and modularity concepts
• Multi-Threading and Multicore Architecture.
• Ability to work on a large code base
• Good analytical thinking and problem solving skills
• Good communication skills

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Additional Skills: debugging test case writing problem recreation skills.
• IDE Skills: eclipse workbench
• Development Platform: linux mac and windows
