Job Description

As a Software Engineer at Traveloka, you will have the opportunity to design, build, and maintain highly available and scalable systems that serve millions of Traveloka users.

Beyond collaborating with fellow engineers, you will work closely with Product Managers, Data Teams, Designers, Quality Assurance, and other stakeholders to develop and deliver innovative products and features that enhance our customers' travel experience.

At Traveloka, building an application is more than just writing code—you will be involved in the entire product development cycle: from ideation and design to implementation and ongoing support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, improve, and maintain backend applications, third-party data integrations, data APIs, backend systems, as well as monitoring tools and infrastructure.

• Work in cross-functional teams with colleagues from diverse backgrounds including technology, consulting, product, and academia. We foster an open and inclusive environment where all team members are encouraged to share ideas, propose solutions, influence others, and continuously grow.

• Contribute to maintaining high standards in code quality through practices like code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing.

• Actively participate in solution and architectural design reviews, contributing to the overall technical direction of our products.

• Take part in on-call support for our services, ensuring smooth operations and quick resolution of any issues.

• Engage in continuous innovation, bringing creative solutions to technical challenges and improving existing processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field from a reputable university.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in software engineering, application development, or systems development.

• Strong knowledge of software engineering principles, application development, and systems development.

• Excellent understanding of software engineering concepts, design patterns, and algorithms.

• Comfortable working in cross-functional teams, collaborating with diverse stakeholders.

• Extensive experience with Java and proficiency in developing backend systems.

• Deep expertise in using Terraform and AWS for infrastructure management and deployment.
