Job Description

AECOM Transportation in Hunt Valley, MD is seeking an experienced BHS Project Manager to oversee projects focusing on baggage handling system design and construction. This is a hybrid opportunity with work schedule split between home and office in Hunt Valley, MD .

Summary:

• Develop and coach team members on technical and business skills and ensure high level of quality of their designs
• Identify gaps and contribute to development of new tools and processes to improve the level excellence in the design team product to clients.
• Assists the design team members with establishing project milestone dates and meeting those dates.
• Strives constantly to improve skill and working knowledge in themselves and others
• Manages more complex clients and projects.
• Ensures product documentation includes materials which are accurate & concise
• Collaborate across functional groups and across design teams early and often
• Remain current on technology advancements and integrate them into the design direction
• Has decision-making authority and directs other team members in recognizing risk and uncertainty with plans to mitigate and eliminate such.
• Directs staff to operate and minimize exposure to claims.
• Self-motivated individual willing to take challenges
• Develop relationships with clients and stakeholders
• Motivate and persuade others produce quality products and services for our clients.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• BS Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field + 8 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
• Project management experience focusing on the design and construction of complex Baggage Handling Systems (BHS)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Project estimating experience
• Willingness to support business development efforts
• Willingness to travel as needed based on client needs
