Job Purpose:
The Bid Management Analyst role within the Sourcing Execution team is an analytical oriented role, supporting the Bid Management Lead in all aspects of preparing, executing and analysing results from Sourcing Sprints.
This role requires confidence in working with numerous datasets and navigating within ClarusONE's sourcing tools (Ark and SourceSpace). A key responsibility will be preparation and validation of data that is presented to ClarusONE's members as well as manufacturers, so attention to detail and ability to identify data issues and improvement opportunities is critical. The Bid Analyst will be responsible for supporting the team in creating bid event schedules and proposing ideas for item selection to maximise yield and drive stability of supply for ClarusONE's members.

The Bid Management function touches all teams in ClarusONE and manages bid events of significant scale, and so a collaborative and proactive attitude to partnering with business teams and understanding their priorities and concerns is essential.
This role requires strong communication skills with proven ability to analyse, interpret, and report data along with acute attention to detail and ability to deliver against strict deadlines and agreed SLAs. This position will report to the Bid Management Lead.
This role will work closely with the Supplier Relationship, Pricing and Sourcing Operations teams to support with bid event execution, award implementation and inputs to item selection.
Responsibilities:
- Operational execution across several steps during bid processes; utilising Ark and Sourcespace systems to load bids, labelling of required ROFR and award decisions during review sessions, extracting outcome data and uploading member preference inputs
- Support creation and alignment of sourcing event schedules and subsequent communication across the business and to manufacturers. Partnering with the Pricing team to evidence need for regular or ad-hoc pricing review events as appropriate
- Supporting analyses to drive intelligent item selection for bid events and incorporate market insights and trends into selection process, requiring collaboration across several ClarusONE commercial and technical teams (Finance, Analytics, SR, Pricing)
- Focus on developing controls during bid event processes to avoid downstream impacts to members; identifying erroneous supplier bids, discrepancies in bid pricing across member volumes, early identification of items needing new master setups by MCK teams
- Tracking and consolidation of pricing and volume validations required from suppliers and consolidation of feedback from Sourcing back to Bid Management and if required, members
- Support to process improvement initiatives focused on bid events and identification, proactive communication of requirements and testing of system enhancements to Ark and Sourcespace implemented by the Technology team
Requirements:
Education/Experience
- Bachelor's degree level or above
- Prior experience in a pricing, analytics, operations or finance function
- Confident using BI and workflow tools, in particular Alteryx and Tableau
- Experience partnering across a matrix organisation and managing relationships with external suppliers / service providers
- Experience in the healthcare field, preferably in generic pharmaceuticals (sales, purchasing or distribution) preferred, though not required
Knowledge/Skills
- Time management skills, including ability to organise and prioritise work to consistently meet critical and/or conflicting daily deadlines while ensuring the highest level of accuracy
- Extreme attention to detail
- Comfortable working with numerous datasets and interrogating data for completeness and quality
- Comfortable with financial concepts, including ability to understand and explain detailed price walks, impact of price changes on wider business and concepts of rebates and cash flow
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal, flexible and adaptive to changes in the business
- Ability to build positive working relationships with stakeholders and embrace feedback
- Comfortable working in a high-pressured environment, focused on completing deliverables and adhering to agreed timelines amidst cycles of high work volume
