Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Architect and implement information management applications(Batch/Streaming Relational/Non-relational data) in Big Data ecosystem (Hadoop/Spark)
• Collaborate with IT & business teams on business use cases development (Business Intelligence Operational intelligence and Customer experience use cases)
• Develop frameworks design patterns and best practices in Big Data integration space
• Design data models for NoSQL applications
• Design access layers for downstream application consumption (BI Applications Web Portals etc.)
• Provide guidance on migrating Hadoop/Spark applications to Oracle Big Data Service(Oracle Hadoop Distribution)
• Provide guidance to data engineering development teams during the implementation
• Provide guidance on tool and technology evaluations in Big Data ecosystem
• Provide guidance on performance tuning batch and streaming applications
• Provide guidance on setting up and implementing security mechanisms in Hadoop implementation

Qualifications

• At least 15 years of experience
• Required skills: Hadoop Administration
• Nice to have skills: Pyspark

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $143,000.00 - $160,000.00 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
