Job Description

AECOM is seeking a BIM Manager to be based in Columbus, Ohio.

In this role, we are seeking a subject matter expert for Revit and other digital design tools within the office that includes implementing, supporting, training, and strategizing all things BIM. This team member will support design teams on all projects from concept through construction leveraging BIM workflows to maximize the team's efficiency, quality and use of the firm's multiple design technologies. They will also work with the Regional BIM directors as a resource.

Job Summary/Responsibilities

  • Lead BIM Kickoff Meetings with internal team and consultants at start of all design phases.
  • Lead project teams in BIM project setup.
  • Support project standard coordination with clients
  • Working knowledge of additional design applications such as 3D Studio Max, VR, NavisWorks, Dynamo, FormIt, Rhino, 3D Printing.
  • Development / implementation of BIM protocols and standards for the studio project team.
  • Provide training in BIM tools and assist with the development of internal teams.
  • Be the in-office primary contact for technical/workflow/file maintenance/application support and advice for our primary BIM platforms
  • Provide hardware and network support as it relates to BIM production.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • BA/ BS degree with 6+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Preferred Qualifications

  • 8+ years experience in the A/E/C industry with 6 years directly supporting a BIM user environment. At least 4 years experience in BIM (Revit) Management
  • Expert knowledge with proven practical application of Revit Architecture and integration with the Autodesk Suite of products.
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCad, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Revit Certified Professional
  • Knowledge Community Industry Events
  • AlA Technology in Architectural Practice (TAP) Knowledge Community or other
  • Autodesk University
  • AUGI
  • Local BIM user group involvement.
Additional Information

Occasional travel is required for this position.
