*Valvoline Global Operations Headquarters is located in Lexington, KY. If candidates are local, we prefer a hybrid in-office work schedule (3 days per week). We're also open to candidates living in other markets working in a remote capacity, but willing to visit HQs.

How You'll Make an Impact

The Brand Manager- Innovation will be responsible for owernship and continuous improvement of the 5 year Innovation Master Plan within the Light Duty Chemicals and Service Parts platform designed to deliver profitable business growth to both the DIY and DIFM channels. This role will conduct regular meetings with senior leaders to align on the master plan, annual learning objectives, and move products through the NSD process. Additionally, this role will operate as the strategic hub pulling together supply chain planning, procurement, R&D, and channel marketing to ensure that continuious improvements are achievede within strategic revenue management, new product development, and supply chain optimization. In addtion you would be responsible for the following:

  • Creates, refines, and qualifies product packaging and concept designs to win in market.
  • Responsible for the development of innovation master plans for 5+ years on all business units (Chemicals and Service Parts) designed to differentiate and win with consusumers
  • Develops strategic recommendations for all aspects of the business based upon consumer research, supply chain understanding, and strategic growth.
  • Owens the development of target margins for all product families and deplyment to business units. Conducts monthly touch bases to validate and enhance margin position.
  • Turns insights into action by transforming the 5-year master plan into qualified primary panel artwork and concepts demonstrating largest appeal with consumers.
  • Validates and optimizes the supply chain for feasibility and cost prior to new project launch or to enhance exisiting products being brought to market differently. Works in close cooridination with the Portfolio Manager and Supply Chain planning to accomplish a harmonized supply chain.
  • Works in tandem with R&D to develop compelling visualizations bringing product benefits to life for hte consumer and customer. Constantly seeks out enhanced ways to bring product benefits to life in complelling visual ways.
  • Invests within and beyond the category to determine shifts within consumer trends nad develops strategic recommendations to bring these to life for the Chemicals/Service Parts platform. Additionally, provides strategic direction through written documents to enhance profitability, share, and volume for Valvoline Global Products within the marketplace.
  • Works to strategically frame and position projects during ideations and partners with product managment to enable projects to remain on time throughout the New Solutions Development process. Leads discussions with senior leaders during the NSD process on projects.
  • Other duties and responsibilites as determined by Valvoline Global Operations from time to time in its sole discretion

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum of 7-10 year of brand managment, leading brand planning and execution, with a track record of delivering topline and bottomline growth
  • Strong visionary, strategic, and courageous leadership skills
  • Strong analytical thinking and business mindset. Possesses the ability to turn insights into action
  • Ability to drive innovation, conncet with consumers, and develop long-term brand equity
  • An inquisitive thirst to learn more and seek the truth
  • Team oriented with strong communication abilities and willingness to share ideas for diverse input and perspective
  • Passion for Brand building
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
