ABOUT YOUR NEW ROLE

Herschel Supply Company is looking for a technology specialist to support business applications used primarily by the Sales, Operations and Finance teams. This includes our ERP, B2B, customizations,  integrations and other software that keeps our business running.

The ideal candidate is someone with a technical or support background who has a great business understanding or a superuser with experience in the industry (preferably consumer goods in sales, finance or operations) who has an aptitude for technology.

We are looking for someone to support as well as drive improvements be they process, technology, data or training related.

 

A DAY IN THE LIFE

On a day-to-day basis, the Business Applications Specialist will:

  • You will use Microsoft Dynamics GP, EDI, B2B, BlueCherry, Shopify and other applications to support the success of our company
  • Manage assignments as part of a different project implementations
  • Coordinate with Herschel IT, support team, and various escalation points
  • Establish relationships with technical staff at our trading partners and vendors
  • Establish new or modify existing processes so that transactions move smoothly
  • Work on development design, configuration, documentations and training for the success of our people, systems, and processes
  • Test and coordinate rollout for any changes
  • Create test scripts and scenarios and perform QA
  • Provide support to different levels of organization in using various technologies
  • Perform or support uploads of data into our systems
  • Our growing company provides a variety of tasks and opportunities – you never know what you might be working on.

 

ABOUT YOU

  • At least 2 years of experience in any ERP system
  • Strong understanding of operations, sales, and finance in a retail or consumer goods environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive improvements to systems and processes.
  • Power-user of technology who enjoys helping others become successful with it.
  • Experience in gathering user requirements and translating them into technical requirements for developers
  • Understanding of different integrations and field mapping
  • SQL, reporting and data experience is preferred.
  • Experience dealing with different levels of business users
  • Flexible, agile and collaborative
  • Experience as a business analyst, project manager, trainer or similar roles is a plus. You must be able to communicate well and help others understand systems and processes

The annual salary for this role falls within the range of $73,000 - $93,000 CAD. We welcome diverse talents, and if your qualifications and experience differ from the job description, we'll consider adjusting the scope of work and salary range to align with your individual strengths.
