At PosiGen, we are passionate about providing money saving solar and energy efficiency solutions for people of all income levels. We are seeking an equally passionate Business Development Intern who will perform analyses and assist with Strategy, Operations, Financing and other Business Development-related activities.
Position rate:Â $18.00 - $20.00
Essential Job Functions
- Compile, format, edit, and revise recurrent, ad hoc reports, research and prepare analysis of potential
new markets (including market segmentation analysis, permitting requirements, and available incentives)Â - Assess the competitive landscape, trends and the regulatory environment
- Â Perform administrative support tasks and other varied duties related to departmental functions under
general supervision. - Research and draft responses to RPFs, grant opportunities, investment inquiries, and regulatory content
(or similar, such as legislative drafting) - Identify community leaders, make early community contacts, setting up meetings for Exec BD team
- Identify local challenges to business model, local or national competition in area
- Supports the Sales Team in the capacity of an Administrative and Operations Assistant professional
- Daily activities will include operational support to the field and office operations, sales & marketing
supports, event planning and coordination along with other administrative duties - High volume preparation of paper documents and data entry into databases/spreadsheets for tracking
customer data - Interact with clients, management, office & field personnel of several internal departments on a daily
basis. - Review and approval of customer lease documentation to verify all fields are accurately completed
- Event Planning – Hotel, Caterer, assess needs for Room layout, speakers, setup team and execution follow
up. To include tracking of Lead Distribution vs. Close ratio - Field customer calls, set appointments
- Follow up on aging customer statuses in Salesforce. Includes reporting status regularly
- General office management and administrative duties (filing, faxing, scanning and organization of
sales documents) - Manage distribution/documentation of referral gift cards
- Research and draft business development projects relating to our services
- Research markets, licensing opportunities, and assess opportunity feasibility
- Work closely with other departments and divisions to improve opportunity assessments, ensure

- Identify local community and business organizations for management to join
- Assist VP of BD & GR with scheduling, travel, and other job-related tasks
Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, statistics, economics, business, or related
- 2-5 years of work experience in market research, statistical analysis, business development, or related
field - 1-2 years of renewable energy experience
- 1-2 years of experience manipulating Census datasets
- Fluency in all MS Office applications, including advanced PowerPoint skills
- Demonstrated commitment to financial inclusion, social justice, and/or access to clean energy
