Business Intelligence Analyst II

Cox Automotive is currently looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst II to join our team. This is a remote, work-from-home role. You must reside in either Indiana and be located within driving distance of Carmel, Indiana OR in the Atlanta, Georgia area.
The Role:
NextGear Capital, a Cox Automotive brand, is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst II to utilize business analytics to support the financial and business operations. The Business Intelligence Analyst II will work closely with Finance leaders to develop methods to access and analyze data, as well as create reporting and dashboarding to support business needs. This role will work with departments throughout the business to execute company strategy through enablement of software solutions, Tableau, and other reporting tools. Additional responsibilities will include financial analysis of products or initiatives throughout the organization.
Successful candidates will have a solid understanding of database structure, ability to interpret complex data requests, writing queries to retrieve and organize data, and visualizing data in effective ways. Candidates must have the ability to operate and work across functional groups in a matrixed organization.
Responsibilities:

• Work closely with Finance leaders and allied functions to develop methods to access and manipulate data from multiple SQL databases and AWS
• Apply accepted methods and tools to identify, gather, develop and analyze appropriate datasets
• Take responsibility for and delivers basic Business Intelligence work-streams, including:
  
  • Revenue, marketplace, consumer and related analytics for designated business areas
  • Data synthesis and insight generation
  • Report development and distribution (Tableau)
  • Ongoing report ownership including version control and source code management throughout development and maintenance
• Review data for inconsistencies or anomalies that could skew analytical results
• Provide input to project planning, status and review meetings
• Produce business intelligence by querying data repositories and generating reports
• Work on standard, recurring and ad-hoc projects and analyses
• Assist in the development and enhancement of data pipelines, workflows and queries
• Manage the flow of information including the integrity, efficiency, and availability of data

Required Qualifications:

• BS/BA in a related discipline and 2 years' experience in a related field, with a focus on data analysis, financial planning/analysis or business case modeling. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and up to 2 years' experience; or 6 years' experience in a related field
• High level of proficiency in Excel and other MS Office software
• High level of proficiency in SQL and experience in data visualization tools
• Data analysis experience
• Excellent interpersonal, leadership, presentation, and collaborative skills to work effectively with teams throughout organization
• Solid written and verbal communication and presentation skills demonstrating a consistent attention to detail; solid organization and workflow skills
• Highly motivated with ability to multi-task and work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
• Ability to flex to perform ad hoc analysis

• Tableau experience
