Business Systems Cloud Engineer

General Summary
The Business Systems Cloud Engineer is responsible for assisting with the design and operation of high-performance scale-out infrastructure that powers LAIKA’s feature animation pipeline and business operations. This position works collaboratively with Artists and Technicians to ensure the success of current projects and guide the Studio’s technology infrastructure into the future.
The Business Systems department will be leveraging Office 365, Dynamics 365 and the Power Platform as a framework to build and support multiple tracks of business automation that will support the entire Studio.

Job Functions

• Set up and operate Microsoft/Office 365, Exchange, OneDrive, SharePoint, Azure AD, Intune and Conditional Access.
• Process development for Microsoft’s Power Platform (Power Apps and Power Automate), and use various connectors to connect disparate systems to Power Platform applications.
• Independently apply technical judgment to work assignments to achieve desired outcomes.
• Perform analysis, design development, testing and implementation of enterprise scale apps.
• Develop Windows and Microsoft/Office 365 automation and tools.
• Administer OpenLDAP, Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, as well as Studio communications platforms.
• Develop and operate virtual platform services and terminal services.
• Collect and analyze metrics and related system performance indicators for ongoing improvement and optimization of the pipeline.
• Analyze and troubleshoot technical production issues, as required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in enterprise systems engineering.
• 3+ years of experience developing systems automation tools.
• 3+ years of experience designing processes, workflows and solutions using Power Platform.
• Experience with Microsoft/Office 365, Exchange and Azure, required(?).
• Experience with scripting languages (.NET Framework and PowerShell, preferred).
• Experience with web development, able to query API endpoints and transform datasets.
• Understanding of IT operations and support practices.
• Experience with Kanban, Scrum and related methodologies, preferred.
• Well organized with strong planning, problem solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
