C# Developer (2983)

SMX is looking for a C# Developer to support a client organization which provides system production support services. The successful candidate would join a team in providing outstanding critical application services to a community in need. The successful candidate will support the existing business operations technical systems as well as enrich current capabilities. This position is a remote position with periodic travel to Massachusetts dependent. Must be willing to work EST time zone hours.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop system and sub-system level requirements and specifications· 
• Define and/or revise system architecture, as required
• Write software in Microsoft .NET, and C# to create and modify the GUI for new and existing systems 
• Conduct technical design reviews and secure consensus from partners and subject matter experts
• Resolve system and subsystem issues and work with various partners to find and implement solutions

Required Skills/Experience:

• A solid understanding and demonstrated track record in the practice of software engineering and fundamentals, including architecture and testing.
• Microsoft .NET languages including C#.
• C++ programming.
• Microsoft Visual Studio development environment.
• Source code control systems such as git.
• Alignment to software design and coding standards.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with peers, interdisciplinary engineering groups, customers, and suppliers. Ability to give effective technical presentations up to the PLC level.
• Dedicated individual with keen technical ability, systematic approach, and excellent problem-solving skills. Candidate should have a positive attitude, be detail-oriented, and be a strong teammate.
• Expertise in Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Desired Skills/Experience:

• AWS certification
• Visual Basic 6 (VB6)
• A Bachelor’s degree (required), Master’s or advanced degree (desired) in Software / Electrical / Industrial / Manufacturing Engineering or Physics.
